Urban SketchingIn 2018, I discovered the #urbansketchers community and attended my first sketch meet to learn to loosen up my drawing skills. Since then, I have been an active member of #urbansketchersbuffalo community, attending local sketch meets, and co-hosting virtual sketching sessions during the pandemic. I also developed and teach an urban sketching course at Niagara University. I enjoy urban sketching and look forward to more conversations and sketching with others in the future.

Urban Sketches
What sets my urban sketches apart from my other work is that they are done on location according to the guidelines set forward by the Urban Sketcher's Manifesto. This can be challenging, given the limits of weather, time, resources, and other responsibilities that can get in the way, but I have come to really enjoy process. What is nice is that practicing urban sketching never leaves me bored, and is a life long hobby that I can enjoy with others.
